OPENVPN menu

Switch as OPENVPN cli-
ent
The OpenVPN menu can be used to import a configuration file that will make
the switch an OpenVPN client. An OpenVPN configuration file can be created
with an OpenVPN server.
NOTE
Instructions for creating a configuration file can be found in the manual of the
OpenVPN server.
Importing an OpenVPN
client
Importing an OpenVPN client
Click Choose File.
Select an OpenVPN configuration file.
Click Import.
The OpenVPN configuration file is imported.
Activating an OpenVPN
client
Rebooting an OpenVPN client
Click
Client Reset
.
The OpenVPN configuration file is executed.
Log messages
You can refer to the log messages to determine whether a connection has
been established to the OpenVPN server.
Status messages
The status is displayed in the Client state field, e.g.,
Server not reachable
.
This is what the statuses mean:
Inactive
OpenVPN client not active as plugin or not started (see Section 11.7.1
"Overview of software plugins")
or
no OpenVPN configuration file exists.
server not reachable
*
The OpenVPN client cannot access the OpenVPN server.
connected
An encrypted connection has been made to the OpenVPN server.
