8 CommPlete Communications Server
Introduction
This chapter describes how to install{ XE "installation" } the MT5634HD8 modem
card into a CommPlete Communication Server CC9600 chassis{ XE "CC9600 chassis"
}
. This equipment should be installed only by a qualified service person.
The MT5634HD8 assembly consists of a high-density modem card and a front panel{
XE "front panel" }. Figure 1 shows the layout of the MT5634HD8 card. The
MT5634HD8 assembly plugs into power and data, Ethernet, and T1 bus connectors on
the inside of the CC9600 chassis{ XE "CC9600 chassis" }. There are no external
connectors.

Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm.

Never install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jacks are specifically
designed for wet locations.

has been disconnected at the network interface.

Use caution when installing or modifying telephone lines.

Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless type) during an electrical storm.
There may be a remote risk of electrical shock from lightning.

Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of that leak.
