BEFORE STARTING
Before starting the BPX Gasoline Vibrator, perform the
following:
Read the safety instructions at the beginning of this
manual.
Clean the engine, removing dirt and dust, particularly
the engine cooling air inlet, carburetor, and air cleaner.
Check the air filter for dirt and dust. If the air filter is dirty,
replace it with a new one.
Check the carburetor for external dirt and dust. Clean
with dry compressed air.
Check all fastening nuts and bolts for tightness.
Check the engine oil level.
Check the fuel level.
Check the tension and condition of the V-belt.
INITIAL START-UP
This section is intended to assist the operator with the initial
start-up of the BPX vibrator.
It is extremely important to
read this section carefully before attempting to use the
vibrator in the field.
Starting the Engine
1. Move the engine fuel valve lever (Figure 8) to the
ON position.

2. If starting a
cold engine, or if the ambient temperature
is cold,
place the choke lever in the
CLOSED position
(Figure 9).

3. If starting a
warm engine, or if the ambient temperature
is warm,
place the choke lever in the
OPEN position
(Figure 10).
