Filling with coolant using a
pump
1.
Connect appropriate pump (pressure at
least 0.5 bar) with hose to filling connec-
tion (arrowed) on A side or B side. Alterna-
tively:

Connect appropriate pump (pressure at
least 0.5 bar) with a hose to the drain
valve (arrowed).
3.
Open vent points on intercooler, on coolant
cooler and on exhaust turbochargers
(→ Page 190).
4.
Ensure that the breather valve on the ex-
pansion tank is closed.
5.
Pump coolant into engine at 0.5 bar mini-
mum until air no longer emerges at the
vent points.
6.
When coolant emerges from the vent
points, close vent points one by one, pro-
ceeding from the lowest point upwards.
