2.3.3
T- Pieces
The T-pieces permit connecting two compressed
air cylinders to the AirMaXX. Depending on the
cylinder size, different T-pieces must be used, e.g.
the 4l/200bar steel cylinders require the T-piece
∅
115/200bar; the 6l/300bar, resp. the 6.8l/300bar
composite cylinders require the T-piece
∅
156/300
bar.
The T-pieces must be ordered separately (see
Sect. 6).

Connecting the Compressed
Air Cylinders
4.2.1
AirMaXX with One Cylinder
Fig. 2
•
Place the AirMaXX down in a horizontal posi-
tion with the outer side pointing up
•
Bring cylinder separator into a horizontal posi-
tion opposite the tension clamp until it catches
•
Check gasket on pressure reducer for proper
condition
•
Open tension clamp on cylinder strap by hing-
ing it up. If necessary, cancel the tension effect
by pulling the separator and extend the strap
(see Fig. 6)
•
Push compressed air cylinder through the cyl-
inder strap with the cylinder valve toward the
pressure reducer
•
Screw cylinder valve onto pressure reducer, if
necessary, bring AirMaXX with valve up into
vertical position
•
Tighten cylinder strap at free end
•
Hinge tension clamp down until it catches
•
Place free end of cylinder strap onto Velcro on
cylinder strap and push tight
•
Check tight position of compressed air cylin-
der, retighten if necessary
•
Briefly open cylinder valve and check for es-
caping air, retighten if necessary
