Spider Removal

1. Locate and remove the Zerk grease fitting and Allen

head screw designated by the letter ‘

’ (Figure 47).

2. Remove the Zerk grease fitting and Allen head screw

located on the opposite side of the spider plate

(Figure 47).

3. Carefully lift the upper trowel/gearbox assembly off of

the spider assembly. A light tap with a rubber mallet

may be necessary to dislodge the spider from the main
shaft of the gearbox.
