4.1.  THE NOSE WHEEL PLATFORM

The nose wheel platform is gimbal-mounted and moves freely around the 
lateral axis.

Lifting height: 180-210 mm

Lifting force:  21.000 kg

The locking door opens and closes hydraulically and is secured by a locking 
mechanism with fully automated hydraulics.

Securing the wheel: 4 separate securing clamps fix the nose wheel against 
lifting up and sliding out of the nose wheel platform. Hydraulic cylinders 
clamp the nose wheel. To maintain even pressure on the nose wheel when 
turning, a nitrogen accumulator keeps the hydraulic pressure constant.
