Put in test mode the phone and digit 38#
( enable SIM ).
Are there following signals on J803 SIM
conn. correct ?
- Pin 3 VSIM1 = 3/5 V
- Pin 1 CLK = 3,25 MHz frequency
- Pin 4 SIM_I/O = DATA SIGNAL
Check in order :
J604 connector for Dry joint problem;
Q901 NOTE1 or faulty;
J600 and On/Off Mylar contacts;
GcapII U900 NOTE1 or faulty.
Check following supply lines for any short to ground or
differents resistences comparing with a good PCB:
B+ on C915
V_BOOST1 on C913
V_REF on C919
V1 on C906
V2 on C939
V3 on C910
VSIM1 on C905.
If you found some difference Check the components which
use that Voltage.
If you don't found any difference send PCB to HTC

USING
BATTERY.

DRAW
CURRENT
WHEN IT IS
OFF
Check for intermittent
faulty then in sequence
U800, U900 NOTE1 or
faulty.
For VSIM1 problem Check U900 NOTE1 or faulty.
For SIM_I/O Check R945,R938 and U901 NOTE1 or
faulty.
For Clock signal Check R940,R941 and U900 NOTE1 or
faulty.

CHECK CARD
NOTE1 : check if any components mentioned are
correctly positioned , have not dry joint and aren't
not phisically damaged .
