Setting 
up IRDA 
link

2. If you selected an infrared link, the 

phone attempts to set up the link:

• If the link is successful, the call can be 

answered by the peripheral device. 
Refer to Using Infrared Links on XX.

• If the connection is lost, the phone 

continues to display 

IRDA Link is 

active

 for 15 seconds while it tries to 

re-establish the connection.

• If the link is unsuccessful, the phone 

gives you the option to try again or quit.
