Receiving a Fax
You can receive incoming faxes through your phone. When
a fax call arrives, your phone rings and displays a new call
dialog.
Note: If a fax call arrives while you are on another call, refer
to “Using Call Waiting” on page 73.
To send a fax call directly to a fax machine, connect your
phone to a fax machine with an infrared (IRDA) link. Once

• The link remains active until the
connected machine begins a transfer, but
closes if no transfer begins within 60
seconds.
• If the connection is lost, the phone
continues to display
IRDA Link is
active
for 15 seconds while it tries to re-
establish the connection.
• You cannot leave this dialog without
closing the connection.

transfer
