Inserting the USIM card
Using the USIM Card
In order to use the phone, you should insert the USIM (Universal
Subscriber Identity Module) card supplied by SKT. However, you can use
emergency calls and basic menus without the USIM card.

• Calling and data usage fees are charged to the person registered to
the USIM card. Therefore, be careful not to loose or transfer
ownership. (We do not take responsibility for the financial damage
caused by lost or stolen USIM card.).
• Set the password on your USIM card to prevent other people from
using your USIM card when it is stolen or lost.
(‘Setup USIM card lock’, refer to page 131.)
• Data inside of the USIM card can be damaged when the card gets
scratched or bent .
• Using the USIM card with Transportation card function, may shorten
battery usage time.
• You are restricted to use the USIM card if you press the wrong
USIM card password three time in a row. In this case, you can
initialize the USIM card by entering the PUK code.
The PUK code (10 digits) is recorded at the bottom of the USIM
protecting plastic when you purchase the USIM card. If you
press the wrong PUK code ten times in a row, you are required
to replace the card. If you forget USIM card password and
PUK code number, you are absolutely required to contact the
agency where the USIM card was issued or SKT.
