Basic MCD 5000 Deskset Operations
Using the Keypad
The keypad (see Figure 3-1 ) acts like a keypad on the digital radio or microphone.
Use the keypad numeric keys (0 - 9 colored in white) and alphanumeric keys (A - Z colored in
green).

The following keypad functions can be used:

To toggle a letters/number, repeatedly press and release a keypad key (for example
A > B > C > 2.)
•
To toggle between upper case and lower case letters in alphanumeric mode, press
and release
.
•
To type numbers in alphanumeric mode, press and hold the appropriate numeric key.
•
To toggle between alphanumeric and numeric modes, swiftly, double press .
