In order to ensure trouble-free starter operation, attention should be paid to the followings:
● The starter should be protected from splash water, road mud and oil, and should be equipped
with guard plate when necessary;
● The starter should be protected from high temperature, and the allowable temperature on the
housing should be no more than 100°C;
● If the driver fails to monitor the start-up process (for example, the commercial vehicle with
rear engine mounted), a starter relay must be installed to protect the starter from tooth engagement.
The current capacity of the starter relay should be greater than 80A and the starter circuit should
be shut off immediately after the engine starts to operate normally; the starter relay axis should be
parallel with the ground and be perpendicular to the vehicle running direction, preventing the
starter from accidental engagement due to vibration, shock or other reasons.
