8. Attachments
8.1. Connection Assembly Instructions
As an example of using 2 X 2 wire twisted cores (Fig 8.1):
• Signal cable: Use a shielded cable, consisting of 2 X 2 wire twisted
pair stranded cores, with each core having a nominal section area of
0.25mm² and overall cable diameter of 8 to 12mm.
• The recommended cable is Metrofunk 2 X 2 AWG 22, (motcom GmbH
Part No. 92000422000) this is used as an example to show how the
connection is made. This cable has 2 twisted pairs of black/brown and
black/red.
• Cut away the outer insulation approx. 25mm from the end of the cable
and pull back the braided shield.
• Cut the braided shield 10mm from the end as shown in Fig. 8.1.
• In this example: Select a twisted pair black/brown and the red wire of
the other twisted pair black/red, and cut away the insulation approx. 5
mm from the end of these 3 wires and solder them to the pins of the
plug (as shown in Fig. 8.3, Pos. 6)
• Cut off the unused wires (in this example, the black wire)
