38. Center the heat shrink tubing (2) over the solder joint

and heat using a heat gun. Heat the joint until the tub­
ing is tightly sealed and sealant (1) comes out of both
ends of the tubing.

39. Connect the electrical connector to the cigarette

lighter outlet and firmly seat the outlet to the shifter
housing.

40. Install the trim ring (5) onto the shifter console (6) and

seat fully.

41. Install the screws (2).

42. Install the bezel (4) onto the trim ring (5) and seat fully.

43. Install the shift knob (3) onto the shifter (1) and seat

fully.

44. Install the lower steering column cover.
