Replace the o-rings with new ones every time the fuel
pump is disassembled.
Clean the contact surface bewtween the pump and the
fuel tank. Install new o-rings. Apply a small amount of
engine oil for installation.
Install the motor wires through the slot in the pump body
and connect them to the terminals.
Install a new o-ring in the fuel hose.
Install the pump motor in the pump body being careful not
to damage the wires.

Assembly
Insert the pump body in the pump. Make sure that the pawls
are engaged and the pump body and pump are aligned.
Install a new o-ring in the groove of the tank. Install the
pump assembly in the tank being careful not to damage
the o-rings. Apply a small amount of engine oil for insta-
llation.
Make sure that the bearing is properly positioned and sup-
ported in the fuel tank.
Clean the surface of the filter.
