CLEARANCES and HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Ensure that minimum clearances shown in
Figures 3 through 7
are maintained. Left and right clearances are determined
when facing the front of the fi rebox.
Follow these instructions carefully to ensure safe installation. Failure to follow these requirements may create a
fi re hazard.

Sidewall Clearances
— The clearance from the inside of the appliance to any combustible adjacent wall should

Ceiling Clearance
— The ceiling must be at least 42" from the top of the fi rebox opening.

Back Wall Clearance
— The appliance may be placed against a combustible back wall.
4.
Parallel Wall Clearance
— The clearance from the opening of the fi rebox to any wall that is parallel to the opening
should not be less than 36" (GSTF36 and GPF36 models only).
