Das ELA-PTT-Tischmikrofon PA-5000PTT von
MONACOR ist speziell für diese Verstärker als se -
parates Zu
behör konzipiert und lässt sich an die
Schraubleisten (34) der Kanäle 2 – 4 anschließen.
4 Aufstellen des Verstärkers
Der Verstärker ist für den Einschub in ein Rack
(482 mm/19″) vorgesehen, kann aber auch als
Tischgerät verwendet werden. In jedem Fall muss
Luft ungehindert durch alle Lüftungsöffnungen strö-
men können, damit eine ausreichende Kühlung der
Endstufe gewährleistet ist.
4.1 Rackeinbau
Für die Rackmontage werden 3 HE (3 Höheneinhei-
ten = 133 mm) benötigt. Damit das Rack nicht kopf-
lastig wird, muss der Verstärker im unteren Bereich
des Racks eingeschoben werden. Für eine sichere
Befestigung reicht die Frontplatte allein nicht aus.
Zusätz lich müssen Seitenschienen oder eine
Bodenplatte das Gerät halten.
Die vom Verstärker seitlich ausgeblasene, er -
hitzte Luft muss aus dem Rack austreten können.
Anderenfalls kommt es im Rack zu einem Hitzestau,
wodurch nicht nur der Verstärker, sondern auch
andere Geräte im Rack beschädigt werden können.
Bei unzureichendem Wärmeabfluss in das Rack
eine Lüftereinheit ein setzen.
5 Verstärker anschließen
Alle Anschlüsse sollten nur durch eine qualifizierte
Fachkraft und unbedingt bei ausgeschaltetem Ver-
stärker vorgenommen werden!
Zahlreiche Anschlüsse, z. B. die für die Lautspre-
cher, befinden sich unter der Schutzabdeckung (15).
Zum Anschließen die Abdeckung abschrauben.
5.1 Lautsprecher
1) Entweder 100-V-Lautsprecher für die fünf Be -
schallungszonen an die Klemmen ATT ZONE
OUTPUTS (16) an schließen
2) oder eine Lautsprechergruppe mit einer Gesamt-
impedanz von mindestens 8 Ω an die Klemmen
COM (22) und 8 Ω (23) anschließen. Die Zonen-
abschwächer (6) beeinflussen diesen Ausgang
nicht.
3) Beim Anschluss immer auf die richtige Polarität
achten. Bei dem 8-Ω-Anschluss ist die Klemme
COM der Minuspol und die Klemme 8 Ω der Plus-
pol. Der Plus anschluss der Lautsprecherkabel ist
immer besonders gekennzeichnet.
4) Zusätzliche 100-V-Lautsprecher, deren Laut-
stärke nicht durch die Zonenabschwächer (6)
verringert werden soll, können an die Klemmen
COM (22) und 100 V (25) angeschlossen wer-
den. Jedoch darf dabei die Gesamtbelas tung die-
ser Lautsprecher und der Lautsprecher an den
Klemmen ATT ZONE OUTPUTS nicht überschrit-
ten werden (siehe oben Hinweis „Achtung“).
5.2 Mikrofone
Es können vier Mikrofone angeschlossen werden, je
ein Mikrofon an die Kanäle 1 – 4:
1. Im Kanal 1 an die Buchse MIC (7) auf der Front-
seite oder an die XLR/6,3-mm-Klinken-
Kombibuchse INPUT-1 (21). Ein Signal im Kanal
1 hat Priorität vor allen anderen Signalen, d. h.
die anderen Signale werden in der Lautstärke
automatisch abgesenkt, wenn in das Mikrofon
des Kanals 1 ge sprochen wird.
2. Im Kanal 2 an die XLR/6,3-mm-Klinken-Kombi -
buchse INPUT-2 (20) oder an die darunter lie-
genden Schraubleiste (34). Ein Signal im Kanal 2
hat Priorität vor einem Signal im AUX-Kanal.
3. Im Kanal 3 an die Schraubleiste INPUT-3 (34).
Ein Signal im Kanal 3 hat Priorität vor einem Sig-
nal im AUX-Kanal.
4. Im Kanal 4 an die Schraubleiste INPUT-4 (34).
Ein Signal im Kanal 4 hat Priorität vor einem Sig-
nal im AUX-Kanal.
Die Schraubleisten (34) lassen sich zur besseren
Handhabung aus ihrer Steckverbindung vom Gerät
abziehen und nach dem Anschluss anschließend
wieder aufstecken.
1) Die Mikrofone mit den entsprechenden Anschlüs-
sen verbinden. Für Mikrofone mit einer Sprech taste
nur die Schraubleisten (34) verwenden, wenn der
Gong auch vom Mikrofon ausgelöst werden soll.
2) In den Kanälen 2 – 4 darf die Taste „Mic/Line“
(35) beim Anschluss eines Mikrofons nicht
gedrückt sein, damit der Eingang auf Mikrofon-
empfindlichkeit ge schaltet ist.
3) Bei Verwendung eines phantomgespeisten
Mikrofons die zugehörige Taste „P.H. +18 V“ (36,
37) drücken. Das Mikrofon wird dann vom Ver-
stärker mit 18 V versorgt.
Achtung!
Bei zugeschalteter Phantomspannung dürfen an
den zugehörigen Eingängen keine asymmetri-
schen Mikrofone angeschlossen sein, da diese
Mikrofone beschädigt werden könnten.
WARNUNG Der Verstärker darf nicht ohne die
Schutzabdeckung (15) betrieben wer-
den. Im Betrieb liegen an den Laut-
sprecheranschlüssen (16, 25) gefähr-
liche Spannungen bis 100 V an. Nach
dem Anschließen die Ab deckung wie-
der festschrauben, damit die Kon-
takte vor Berührung geschützt sind.
Achtung!
In jeder Beschallungszone darf die Belastung
durch die 100-V-Lautsprecher max.

rack. The front panel alone will not be able to secure
the unit; side rails or a base plate must be addition -
ally provided.
The heated air laterally blown out by the amplifier
must be able to dissipate from the rack. Otherwise a
heat accumulation will occur in the rack which may
not only damage the amplifier but also other units in
the rack. If the heat is not able to dissipate suffi-
ciently, insert a fan unit into the rack.
5 Connecting the Amplifier
All connections should only be made by qualified
skilled personnel. For this purpose, always switch
off the amplifier!
Numerous connections, e. g. those for the speak-
ers, are below the protective cover (15). For con-
nection screw off the cover.
5.1 Speakers
1) Either connect 100 V speakers for the five
speak er zones to the terminals ATT ZONE OUT-
PUTS (16)
2) or a speaker group of a total impedance of at
least 8 Ω to the terminals COM (22) and 8 Ω (23).
The zone attenuators (6) will not affect this output.
3) Always observe the correct polarity when con-
necting. For the 8 Ω connection, the terminal
COM is the negative pole and the terminal 8 Ω
the positive pole. The positive connection of the
speaker cables is always specially marked.
4) Additional 100 V speakers, the volume of which is
not to be attenuated by the zone attenuators (6)
can be connected to the terminals COM (22) and
100 V (25). However, the total load of these
speak ers and the speakers at the terminals ATT
ZONE OUTPUTS must not be exceeded (see
note “Attention” above).
5.2 Microphones
Four microphones can be connected, one micro-
phone each to the channels 1 – 4:
1. In channel 1 to the jack MIC (7) on the front panel
or to the combined XLR/6.3 mm jack INPUT-1
(21). A signal in channel 1 will take priority over all
other signals, i. e. the volume of the other signals
will be automatically attenuated if you speak into
the microphone of channel 1.
2. In channel 2 to the combined XLR/6.3 mm jack
INPUT-2 (20) or to the terminal strip (34) below it.
A signal in channel 2 will take priority over a sig-
nal in the AUX channel.
3. In channel 3 to the terminal strip INPUT-3 (34). A
signal in channel 3 will take priority over a signal
in the AUX channel.
4. In channel 4 to the terminal strip INPUT-4 (34). A
signal in channel 4 will take priority over a signal
in the AUX channel.
To facilitate handling, it is possible to remove the ter-
minal strips (34) from their plug-in connections on
the unit and to reinsert them after connection.
1) Connect the microphones to the corresponding
terminals. For microphones with a talk button,
only use the terminal strips (34) if the chime is to
be activated by the microphone.
2) In channels 2 – 4, the button “Mic/Line” (35) must
not be pressed when connecting a microphone so
that the input is switched to microphone sensitivity.
3) When using a phantom-powered microphone,
press the corresponding button “P.H. +18V” (36,
37). The microphone will then be supplied with
18 V by the amplifier.
5.3 Units with line output
Six units with line output (e. g. CD player, tuner, tape
deck) can be connected, one unit each to channels
2 – 4 and three units to the AUX channel. A signal in
channels 2 – 4 will take priority over a signal in the
AUX channel. To feed in background music, the
AUX channel with the phono inputs (19) should
there fore be used.
1) Connect the units to the corresponding terminals:
combined XLR/6.3 mm jack INPUT-2 (20)
terminal strips INPUT-2 to INPUT-4 (34)
phono jacks AUX INPUTS (19)
When connecting a stereo unit to the com-
bined XLR/6.3 mm jack (20), use a stereo mono
adapter (e. g. SMC-1 from MONACOR) and an
adapter cable (e. g. MCA-300 from MONACOR),
otherwise the signals of the stereo centre cancel
each other mutually.
2) In channels 2 – 4, press the corresponding button
“Mic/Line” (35) when connecting a unit with line
level so that the input is set to line level. To
ensure that the phantom power is deactivated,
the corresponding button “P.H. +18V” (36) must
not be pressed.
3) For the AUX channel, use the selector switch
“5 6 7” (3) to select the unit to be heard.
Attention!
With the phantom power connected, unbal-
anced microphones must not be connected to
the corresponding inputs as these microphones
may be damaged.
WARNING The amplifier must not be operated
without the protective cover (15). Dur-
ing operation there are hazardous
voltages of up to 100 V at the speaker
connections (16, 25). After connect-
ing, tightly screw down the cover
again so that the contacts are pro-
tected against touching.
Attention!
In each speaker zone, the maximum load by the
100 V speakers may be
