5.2 Data recording
DMS Docon
The DMS Docon PC software has been specially designed for data management of the
Docon 7 and supports the following functions:
-
Firmware updates
-
Data management via WLAN manually and in online mode
-
Bidirectional data transmission
-
Creation, reading and writing of setup files
The software is available in the most diverse languages and is continuously being ex-
panded. The latest revisions can be updated online. The handbook can be accessed after
starting the program by pressing F1.
Record donation data
When recording donation data, the focus is on documenting a donation process in order to
rule out mix-ups for example prior to the donation. With the setup program, the Docon 7 is
a powerful tool for configuring data recording as required by the blood bank.
A donation with data recording differs from a donation without data recording in that mostly
before and after the donation, barcodes need to be read in. The precise barcodes and the
requirements which they need to satisfy in order to be accepted are specified by the user
by programming with the DMS software.
