Software development The devices in the example configuration can be
programmed and configured with the Sucosoft S 40
programming software.
Before developing the software, you must decide on
the required addresses of the slaves including the
AM 1 and AM 2 modules. The valid address range is
1 to 31 Although the sequence of address
assignments is not important, in this example we
recommend you to assign address 1 to module AM 1
and address 2 to module AM 2.
Programming
The example application needs to implement the
following ladder diagram:

Motor contactor K1 is controlled by PLC output 0.0.
The four proximity switches are not given a function
in the example program. They are simply assigned to
four variables for further processing.
Programming uses the five point notation, see
“Programming an ASi Slave (Operand Syntax)” on
page 33 for details.
Since the ASi master LE is connected directly to the
PLC, the ASi line is line number 2. Line number 1 is
assigned to the PLC’s Suconet K interface.
