Enabling
Autoaddressing The Autoaddressing option is specified when you
create the permanent configuration with the
Sucosoft software (offline configuration).

Start the offline topology configurator.

Select the ASi master and click the Parameters
button or choose ‹Edit

Parameters› in the
menu to show the device parameters dialog.

Check the “Enable autoaddressing” check box.
Exchanging slaves with
PLC in RUN mode You should only exchange slaves with the PLC in
RUN mode if the “Autoaddressing” function has
been enabled. The “Autoaddressing” function allows
you to swap faulty slaves in the AS interface line with
the PLC in RUN mode.
The new slave must initially have the address “0"
(factory default) and be the same type as the previous
one (same I/O and I/D code). If “Enable
autoadressierung” is enabled, the AS-i master
automatically program the new slave to the address of
the faulty slave and restarts the data communication.
Setting slave
parameters The four parameter bits of each ASi slave can be set
in one of the following three situations:
1. The slave parameters can be specified in the
permanent configuration
2. The slave parameters can be checked or changed
during system setup
3. The slave parameters can be changed by the PLC
application with the PLC in RUN mode
