• Do not install the aerial cable of the receiver in a parallel position to current-carrying cables.
Do not coil up the aerial cable. For example, use an aerial tube which protrudes from the
vehicle in a perpendicular position.
• Always turn on the transmitter first and put the throttle in neutral position. Then the speed
controller may be connected to a battery pack and switched on.
When switching off, proceed in reverse order – first switch off the speed controller and
disconnect it from the rechargeable batters, then switch off the transmitter.
• When operating the model, sufficient cooling has to be provided for the speed controller as
well as the motor. Never cover the heatsink or the fan of the speed controller!
Always check the fan before operation, do not block it, remove dust or dirt from the fan that
has accumulated during operation of the vehicle or otherwise.
• Do not block the drive. The resulting currents may destroy the motor and/or speed controller.
• Observe a smooth drive section and perform regular maintenance.
• Check the vehicle and the speed controller/motor for damage. If you discover any damage,
do not operate the vehicle or the speed controller/motor anymore.
• Before recharging the rechargeable battery, disconnect it from the speed controller.
Installation
• If the product is to be used as a replacement for an existing speed controller/motor, first
remove the old speed controller and the motor from your model.
• Install a pinion suitable for the drive gear on the driveshaft of the brushless motor. The pinion
is usually tightened with a grub screw.
Attention!
Make sure that the grub screw sits exactly on the flattened
side of the driveshaft and is screwed tight in that position
(see the schematic diagram on the right, without the gear).
Otherwise the pinion will quickly become loose.
The exact position of the pinion on the drive shaft must be determined after installing the
motor. Therefore, only tighten the pinion slightly at first.
• Install the motor in your vehicle and screw it into place. Use motor fastening screws selected
in their length so that they cannot go far inside the motor. After assembly always ensure that
the motor does not scratch over too-long screws. If this is not observed, the guarantee/
warranty will lapse.
The distance between the pinion and the drive gear will be set later.
• Now check that the pinion meets the drive gear properly and is not skewed to one side.
Attention!
The exact position of the pinion is very important, it must not be skewed to the side
as otherwise the drive gear will be damaged (power transmission takes place over
a small area).
Adjust the position of the pinion gear on the drive shaft and, if necessary, remove
the motor.
Only when the pinion is exactly parallel to the drive gear should the grub screw
in the pinion be tightened firmly. The fastening screw of the motor pinion must be
secured against loosening with threadlocker.
• After properly installing the pinion gear on the driveshaft of the motor, the correct distance
between the pinion gear and the drive gear must be set.
Generally when dealing with motor mounts, one mount hole is round and the other one is
oblong. The motor is attached with the screw in the round hole and is adjusted with the screw
in the oblong hole.
Loosen both screws slightly so that the motor can be turned with some effort.
The distance between the pinion gear and the driveshaft should not be too small and should
also not be too large, as the drive gear will be damaged otherwise. The distance is set
correctly if the cogwheels interlock well and the drive can be turned without great effort. After
the first drives, check the correct seat repeatedly. Wrong settings are indicated by increased
wear.
• Screw the motor into place when it is in the right position.
• Install the speed controller in the chassis. Choose a position which is as far away as possible
from the receiver. The speed controller should not be directly next to the motor either.
• Connect control unit cables to the motor’s cables, note the colour coding of the cables, this
ensures the forward/reverse operation of the motor is synchronous with that of the control
unit.
If the motor is rotating in the wrong direction (depending on the transmission of the vehicle)
simply swap two of the three connections. The motor now rotates in the opposite direction.
• You can use Velcro or double-sided tape to attach the speed controller.
• Check the four fan fastening screws for firm seat (also check this regularly after operating
the vehicle).
• The on/off switch should be attached so that it can be operated easily. Use Velcro or double-
sided tape to attach the switch.
• Install all cables so that they cannot become entangled in rotating or moving parts of the
vehicle. Use cable ties to secure them.
1:8 Brushless Set 1700kV/75A
Item no. 23 77 41
Intended Use
This product consists of a high performance brushless motor along with an electronic speed
controller.
The speed controller is connected to a free channel of the receiver of model vehicles and
serves as a continuous RPM control of the brushless motor. The control unit is programmed
with the help of the programming card supplied.
This combination of motor and speed controller are meant to be used in Monster Trucks and
Truggies.
This product complies with the applicable national and European specifications. All company
names and product names are trademarks of the respective owners. All rights reserved.
Scope of Delivery
• Brushless motor
• Speed controller
• Programming card

Safety Information
The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-
compliance with the operating instructions. We do not assume any
responsibility for consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by improper use or the failure to observe the safety instructions! In
such cases the warranty/guarantee is void.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is prohibited for safety and
approval reasons (CE). Never disassemble the product. There are no components inside the
housing that need to be adjusted or serviced by you. Furthermore, the guarantee/warranty
would also expire in such a case!
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children!
• The speed controller or the motor must not become damp or wet.
• Disconnect the rechargeable battery from the speed controller whenever the speed controller
is not needed. The speed controller can be temporarily switched off using the on/off switch.
• Always turn on the transmitter first before connecting the speed controller with the battery
and switching it on.
• Before turning off the transmitter, turn off the speed controller and, if necessary, disconnect
it from the battery.
• Combined with the motor supplied, the speed controller may use NiMH/NiCd rechargeable
batteries (6-12 cells) or LiPo rechargeable batteries (2-4 cells).
• The maximum permissible speed controller output is limited to 555 Watt for 5 minutes. The
maximum permissible motor output is limited to 288 Watt for 5 minutes.
Depending on the battery voltage used, this results in different maximum permissible
currents. For this, always observe the technical data in these operating instructions.
If the threshold values are not observed, the motor and/or speed controller can be destroyed.
Loss of guarantee/warranty!
• The motor, the speed controller and the batteries can become very hot during operation.
Danger of burns!
• Handle the product with care. It can be damaged by impact, blows or when dropped even
from a low height.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• When operating vehicles, make sure that no body parts or other objects come into contact
with moving parts. Risk of injury!
• Always use a battery pack to operate the speed controller. Never use a wall power supply.
• Only connect a single brushless motor to the speed controller.
• The speed controller is not suitable for the operation of conventional electric motors with two
connections!
• When installing the components, keep the greatest possible distance between the receiver
and the speed controller/motor to avoid interference.
