The Novodiag® Software selects the slot to run and opens it. Ensure the cartridge is closed properly with a cap.
Insert the cartridge in the tray of the slot of the Novodiag® Instrument and tap “CLOSE DOOR” on the dialog
window.
NOTE Novodiag® Software uses the slots equally, meaning that the offered slot is not always the first slot.
Novodiag® Software stores the information about previously used slot and offers the next available slot for the
run.
NOTE The Novodiag® Instrument detects the cartridge presence and ejects the tray, if the cartridge has not been
inserted.
Once the slot is closed, tap the “START” button or scan another cartridge for a batch mode. The batch mode allows
for inserting multiple cartridges and start the runs simultaneously. Once all cartridges and samples have been
associated through sequential scanning, tap the “START” button to start all slots at once (see Figure 32).
NOTE In the batch mode, the Novodiag® Software opens the slots one by one to reduce the risk of mixing up
cartridges.
