IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using your appliance, read carefully the instructions
contained in this booklet, which furnish important information
regarding installation, use and maintenance safety. The booklet
must be keeped and delivered to the new user in case of ces-
sion of the machine.
The manufacturer reserves the right to vary the features of the
product without prior notice. The technical data are merely in-
dicative.
1. This appliance is intended exclusively for the use for which
it was created, and the Producer would not be considered
responsible for any damage caused by its improper use.
2. After unpacking, make sure that the appliance is complete
and shows no signs of visible damage or tampering.
3. Keep packing materials, which are potential dangers, away
from children (plastic bags, styrofoam packing pellets, nails,
etc.).
4. The appliance is not suited for persons (as well as children)
physically, mentally, sensory disabled, or with no experi-
ence, unless they have been supervised or directed by
someone responsible of their safety.
5. Do not let the children play with the appliance.
6. Before inserting the plug make sure that the voltage is the
same as indicated on the device and the line supply is cor-
responding to the effective rules.
7. Do not use in presence of gas, inflammable or explosive
liquids or substances.
8. Some fundamental rules which apply to all electrical devices
must be observed when using the appliance:
• do not touch the heather with wet hands;
• do not handle with bare feet;
• do not pull the electric cord or the device itself to un-
plug it from the socket; pull the plug directly;
• do not let children or incompetent people use device
without supervision.
9. Avoid improper use of extension cords.
10. Do not bring modifications to the product that compromise
the safety.
11. Keep connections dry.
12. Never plunge the appliance in water.
13. Disconnect the appliance from the supply line, if you don’t
use it for a long time.
14. Always unplug the appliance before doing any maintenance
operation.
15. The insect destroyers which are intended for indoor use
only, must not be used in hay-lofts, barns or similar environ-
ments.
16. Further precautions should be taken with the insect destroy-
ers also intended for outdoor use, such as:
• Do not aim a stream of water (for example from a gar-
den hose) at the device; there could be risk of electric
shock.
• Avoid improper use of extension cords.
• Keep connections dry.
• Avoid damage to the power supply cord.
17. If the power supply cord is damaged avoid to use it. Let
the Manufacturer, or the After Sale Service, or some similar
qualified person replace it, in order to avoid any risk.
18. In case of malfunction or fault, call an Authorized After Sale
Service, and request original spare parts.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE
Periodically verify the integrity of the appliance. If
defects are found, do not use it; call an Authorized
After Sale Service.
Before attempting any maintenance operation, be
sure that the appliance is unplugged from any elec-
trical source.
The Company declines any responsibility for acci-
dents or malfunctions caused by a lack of a reason-
able maintenance.
• Empty and clean out electrocuted insects from the insect
collector drawer every 2 or 3 days or more often if the in-
sects reach the rim. If electrocuted insects falling directly to
the ground isn’t bothersome, the drawer can be eliminated
completely.
• For maximum efficiency, replace the lamps only with the
type indicated on the device every 3.000 working hours for
models 305E, 307A and 307E and every 1500-2000 work-
ing hours for models 300, 300 Wood, 301, 304, 309, 308A,
308E. Apply to an authorized technical assistance center for
replacement of the lamps.
•
Models 300, 300 Wood and 301 are provided with patented
systems for cleaning the electric bulbs and the electrified
grids. Each time the insect container drawer is emptied,
cleaning of the lamp and grids is suggested. Cleaning of
the other models must be done at an authorized assistance
center at least once a year or more frequently if the appli-
ance works within a dirty or polluted environment.
IMPORTANT!
• Electric safety of models 307A and 308A is assured only
when these models are plugged into an efficently grounded
electrical supply as provided by the regulations in force.
The
Manufacturer cannot be considered responsible for any
damage caused by a non-grounded electrical supply.
• Models 300, 300 Wood, 301, 304, 309, 305E, 307E and
308E, being doubly insulated, do not require a grounded
electrical supply.
Items 305E, 307A, 307E, 308A, 308E can be used
outdoor because protected against sprinklings
(IPX4).
Except art. 305E, 307A, 307E, 308A, 308E, any
other appliance must be placed indoor.
SUGGESTIONS FOR PROPER POSITIONING
•
To achieve maximum performance it is advisable to hang the
insect destroyer 1.5 - 2 meters from the ground.
•
Place the insect destroyer at some distance from people, in
the darkest area, but not beyond its range of action.
• Turn on the insect destroyer as early as spring, as soon as
the first troublesome insects appear.
•
Place in the darkest part of the room, far from windows and
sleeping areas.
•
For use in bedrooms, turn on insect destroyer at dusk, keep-
ing shutters or blinds closed.
