The 1100 Series is equipped with ¼ inch Swagelok
®
fittings. Cajon
®
4-VCR
®
(male)
compatible, and Cajon
®
4-VCO
®
(male) compatible fittings are available as options. Refer to
the manufacturers’ specifications for installation information on VCR and VCO compatible
fittings.
How To Install a Swagelok Fitting
To connect the ¼ inch Swagelok fittings, follow the steps below.
1. Be sure the tubing is clean and free of axial scratches.
2. Insert the tubing through the compression nut and ferrules all the way to the shoulder.
Figure 5 shows the components in a standard compression fitting.

Caution
Tighten the nut only 1¼ turns past finger-tight. When remaking,
tighten the nut only

turn. Overtightening damages the tubing and
fitting, and destroys a normally leak-tight fitting.
3. Connect the fitting on the other side of the MFC (one fitting is for gas input and the other
fitting is for gas output).
