Door Alarm System :
Door alarm has been installed so that one will not forget to close the door.
• The alarm beeps in the following cases:
1. Any of the doors is left open.
2. The refrigerator fan motor or the box fan motor has a failure.
3. The ice tray lock lever is removed while ice making operation is performed.

1. Any of the doors is left open.
• The alarm alerts that the door is open when any of the compartment doors is left
opened for 1 minute or more.
• The alarm stops alerting as soon as the door is closed.
• When the alarm does not stop even though all the doors are closed, the door switch
may be abnormal.
(Note: If the test is conducted with water in the ice tray, water may fall into the ice storage box because the tray turns
over in the ice making operation.)
The indicator of the compartment on the operation panel blinks along to the alarm sound.
2. The alarm alert when a trouble is found in the refrigerator fan motor or in the box fan motor. The alarm alert
every time the door is closed until normal operation is obtained.
(Check the error code by following the steps in Self-check and error display method and operation on page 23.)
3. The ice tray lock lever is removed while the ice making operation is performed
• The alarm reminds the user not to install or remove the ice tray during ice making operation.
• During ice making operation, the indicator representing the ice making compartment on the operation panel blinks.
Interior LED :
• When the door of the refrigerator compartment is opened, the interior LED in the refrigerator compartment turns on.
• While beeping continues due to the door that is left open for 4 or more minutes, the interior LED blinks twice per minute,
which reminds the user to close the door.
• If the interior LED continues to light for 60 minutes or more, the overheating protection is activated, which turns off the
interior LED.
• After that, closing the door releases the overheating protection function. The interior LED will turn on again when the
door is opened next time.
