Setting an image as a banner

The
Store
option allows to save the
received image in the Pictures folder.
Melodies
The Melodies sub-menu gathers the
Downloaded melodies, the Composed
melodies and the Predefined melodies.
Downloaded melodies
You can download melodies from the
internet or from interactive voice serv-
ers.
To access the list of the downloaded
melodies:

On top of the usual melodies down-
load by SMS you can download mel-
odies by browsing internet web sites.
Select
Options
(on recep-
tion screen) when you have
received the image.
Select
Install
(or
Discard
if you do not want
to install the current image).
The banner is then set on your
phone standby display.
1. If new events have occured on your mobile (new
message, new push message, unanswered call, voice
mailbox, inbox), your banner is replaced by the corres-
ponding event icon(s). Your banner is displayed back
once you have managed all the events.
2.According to the selected Graphic theme (see Gra-
phics themes, page 47) the banner may not be dis-
played.
3. If a banner is received and if you choose to set ano-
ther image as a banner the received image is lost as
it is not stored in the reception box or in the Pictures
folder.
Open the infrared port (see
Infrared port, page 62) and
make sure the infrared port of
the other appliance faces your
mobile infrared port so that
the image transfer is correctly
done.

Read
(on the
standby display)
when the
Reception box
shows you
have received a new event.
Use
or
to scroll the
Reception box
if it bears sev-
eral files and go to the desired
file.

1. If your reception box is full a warning message
shows, then the icon is displayed in the standby
display icons bar.
2. To choose and activate a banner or a wallpaper see
Pictures, page 30.
1. Error messages may be displayed when setting,
viewing or storing an image:
’File too big’: Please see Error messages, page 68.
’Decoding failure’: the image cannot be supported by
the phone.
2. The sending of images by IrDA may not be possible
if the image is exportation protected. The ’File protec-
ted!’ message is then displayed.
