impOrtAnt sAfety instructiOns

1.  This appliance is for 

OUTDOOR USE ONlY

. Under no circumstances is it to be used indoors.

2.  Read all operating instructions and familiarise yourself with the appliance before operating.
3.  Do not perform any servicing on this appliance yourself. Servicing must only be conducted by a suitably 

qualified and authorised technician.

4.  Always check for leaks when the cylinder is replaced or reconnected.
5.  Do not store chemicals or flammable materials on or near this appliance.
6.  Children should not be left unsupervised near the appliance warming up, during use or while it is cooling 

down.

7.  Flammable clothing should not be worn near the appliance when it is operating.
8.  Do not leave food unattended on the appliance.
9.  If a fat fire occurs, immediately turn off the gas cylinder.
10.  Hot fat can cause serious burns. Care must be taken when removing the grease tray.
11.  This appliance must not be positioned under any overhead combustible construction and advised minimum 

distances from combustible materials must be maintained at all times.  
Minimum clearances to combustibles are: 
Overhead – 1000mm 
From back – 300mm 
From Sides – 100mm

12.  When not in use, ensure all gas valves including the cylinder are turned off.
13.  Never leave the burners on ‘HIGH’ for more than 10 minutes unless actually cooking. If the burner makes a 

“hissing” sound during use the flame may have flashed back inside the burner. If this occurs turn the burner off 
allow it to cool and relight it.

14.  Do not allow unburnt gas to build up. Always provide sufficient ventilation.
15.  Refer to the data label affixed to the appliance for information regarding gas consumption and injector sizes.
16.  This appliance shall only be used in an above ground open air situation with natural ventilation, without 

stagnant areas, where gas leakage and products of combustion are rapidly dispersed by wind and natural 
convection.

17.  The hose assembly connects to the appliance with a 3/8 SAE compression fitting. It must be tightened using a 

suitable tool (such as an adjustable wrench) to obtain a gas tight seal. The joint must be tested for leaks using 
a soapy water solution after each connection. If a leak is detected the joint must be sealed and the leak sealed 
before the appliance is used. 

18.  Never operate this BBQ with the LPG Cylinder located directly below the burners.

WArning

A strong smell of gas or hissing sound may indicate a serious problem with your appliance 
or gas cylinder. Failure to follow these steps could cause serious injury, death or property 
damage.
1.  Shut off the gas supply to the appliance at the gas cylinder.
2.  Turn the control knobs of the appliance to the ‘OFF’ position.
3.  If the leak is obvious and easily resolved, seal the leak. 
4.  If the leak cannot be sealed and it is safe to do so, move the appliance to a safe 

location.  
Then move away from the gas cylinder and appliance.

If the odour continues or there is a fire you cannot control, call your local fire department. 
Do not use your phone near the appliance.
