PRI Connection (RJ-48)
Caution:
Always use standard telecommunication cables with a minimum of 26 AWG wire gauge.
PRI connections use two pairs of wires: one pair for transmission and the second pair for reception. It
is wired so that pins 1 and 2 are on one twisted pair and pins 4 and 5 are on a second pair according
to common wiring standards which meet the TIA/EIA 568A and 568B requirements.
Note:
The Mitel GX Gateway PRI ports can be used as a T reference point, but not as U reference points
(2-wire). Never connect a U PSTN line or a U TE into the Mitel GX Gateway PRI ports.
