MINOLTA GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE
1. DEFINITIONS
„MINOLTA“:
MINOLTA GmbH Registered Office
„the Unit“: the MINOLTA product for which this Users’s Manual is
valid
„the Software“: MINOLTA unit driver Software. In the case that soft-
ware supplied by other manufacturers is added to or
purchased with the MINOLTA unit, only the terms of
guarantee by those original manufacturers are valid
„the Unit Guarantee Period“: One year commencing the date of purchase of the Unit
„the Software Guarantee Period“: Ninety (90) days commencing the date of purchase of
the Software
„the Operating Instuctions“: Those instructions contained in the manuals supplied
with both the Unit and the Software
„Valid Receipt“: a receipt indicating the date of purchase, the location of
purchase, the purchase price, the MINOLTA dealers´s
address, the Unit and/or Software type and serial
number
2. SCOPE OF GUARANTEE
2.1. UNIT
Subject to Clause 2.3 this Guarantee covers all material and production faults in the
Unit which are notified by the purchaser to MINOLTA within the Unit Guarantee
Period
2.2. SOFTWARE
Subject to Clause 2.3 this Guarantee covers all faults with the Software which are noti-
fied by the purchaser to MINOLTA within the Software Guarantee Period
2.3. EXCLUSIONS
This Guarantee does not cover damage to Units and Software resulting from, but not
limited, to the following:
a)
dropping, impact, sand, moisture, misuse, unauthorized interference of third par-
ties, chemical corrosion, non-observance of the Operating Instructions, damage in
transit or force majeure;
b) the use of accessories, units or material not produced, distributed licenced or
authorised by MINOLTA; and
c) repairs or alterations carried out by any workshop not authorised by MINOLTA
This Guarantee does not cover damage to Software resulting from the purchaser’s fail-
ure to install the Software in accordance with the Installation Instructions on a compu-
ter suitable for the intended purpose
