ETUP MODE
VIEWING IMAGES ON A TELEVISION
It is possible to view camera images on your television. The camera has a video-out
terminal to make the connection using the supplied video cable. The camera is
compatible with the NTSC and PAL standards. The TV-system setting can be checked
and set in the setup menu (p. 64).
1.Turn off the television and the camera.
2.Insert the small plug of the video cable into the
camera.
3.Plug the other end of the video cable into the
video input terminals on the television.
4.Turn the television on.
5.Change the television to the video channel.
6.Slide the mode switch to the playback position
and turn the camera on. The camera’s monitor will
not activate when the camera is attached to a
television. The playback-mode display will be vis-
ible on the television screen.
7.View images as described in the playback sec-
tion.
RESET SETTINGS
This function affects all modes. When selected, a confirmation
screen will appear; choosing “YES” resets to the default settings,
“N0” cancels the operation. Following settings will not change:
clock/ language/ TV system.
If file number reset is selected, when a new memory card is
installed, the first file stored in the card will be 0001. If the file
number reset is disabled, and the card is changed, the first file
saved to the new card will have a number one greater than the
last file saved on the previous card if the new card does not
contain an image with a greater file number. If it does, the file
number of the new image will be one greater than the greatest on
the card.
FILE NUMBER RESET
The brightness of the LCD monitor can be adjusted. Use the
left/right keys of the controller (1) to adjust the brightness, the
monitor image will change accordingly. Press the central button
of the controller (2) to set the brightness level.
