Example 2: Query current scan mode 

1)

 

Look  up  the  parameter  table  in  6  Parameter  Menus  and  the  ASCII  table  in  11  ASCII  table.  The 
target parameter index is “0401”. 

2)

 

The numeral system is decimal, thus, ‘D’ is used. 

3)

 

The value field is filled with ‘?’. 

4)

 

Put  all  above  parts  and  then  append  a  storage  indicator  ‘.’  to  construct  the  command: 
“<SYN>M<CR>0401?.”.   

5)

 

Upon receiving command, fixed scanner response with “0401D01<ACK>”.
