Note: The display resolution of the T S3 LCD is 800 x
480. To set the Frame Rate and Resolut on of the TS3:
1. Navigate to the Record
Menu / Settings and select
eith er the Resolution or
F r ame Rate bu tt on to open
the Record Settings Menus.
(Either t he Basic or Advanced
menu will open, depending
on the last one you used.)
2. In the Basic Record Settin g
Menu, Select Resolution o r
Frame Rate, or Auto-Max:
• If you select Resolution, y ou may pick from any resolution--only the v alid frame rates for
that choice will be available.
• If you select Frame Rate, you may pick from any frame rate--only valid resolutions f or that
choice will be available.
• If you select Auto-Max, you may pick any frame rate or resolution. The s ystem will then select
the maximum corresponding resolution or f r ame rate for your choice.

settings w ork the same as in the “Basic” menu,
except that edit boxes and spinners replace the
presets, o
ff ering a much wider range and greater
precision.
Resolutions
c an be refined t o any even-
numbered pair from 24 x 12 to 1280 x 1024.
Frame rates may be refined
t o any number from
24 to 98437 fps.
Choose from the four aspect ratio choices:
Cu
s tom, 4:3, 5:4, 16:9.
Offset Control:
Most of the time, y o u make use of the best resolving properties of y our lens, you will want to
center the image at the opti c al center, which corresponds to the center of the sensor. In this case
you would make sure that the “Center” check box is checked.
It is also possible, that you will wish to shift
y our ROI (Region of Interest) without moving the camera.
Lets say, for example, that you have captured images at 1024 x 1024 @ 500fps and are now
interested at capturing a 512 x 512 portion of the scene, l
e ts say the bo tt om right hand quarter
@ 2000fps.
In this case, you would wish to add 512 to both the X and Y o
ff set. For a 1024 x 1024 centered image
the o ff sets will be 128 and 0. The resultant o ff sets for a 512 x 512 image (lower right quadrant)
would be 740 and 512.

Click on the Apply bu tt on when you are sati s fied with our choices. The camera will automati c ally
adjust the shu tt er speed to match the frame rate selected. The live display will now reflect th e
changes made and give you and opportunity to
accept or cancel them.
