Installation and connection

Connection to the water supply
Risk of electric shock!
There are electrical wires in the water
inlet hose.
The inlet hose must not be connec-
ted in an area subject to spray water,
e.g. in a bathroom or shower room.
The casing on the water inlet hose
must not get wet.
The protective sleeve must not be
damaged or kinked.
The washing machine should be con-
nected to a mains water supply in ac-
cordance with current local and national
safety regulations. The German author-
ities do not require it to have a non-re-
turn valve as the washing machine has
been designed to comply with DIN reg-
ulations.
The flow pressure must amount to a
minimum of 100 kPa (1 bar) and must
not exceed an overpressure of
1000 kPa (10 bar). If it is higher than
1000 kPa (10 bar), a pressure reduction
valve must be installed.
Connection to the mains water supply
should incorporate a stopcock with a
¾" threaded union. If this is not avail-
able, only a qualified installer may con-
nect the washing machine to the mains
water supply.
The connection point is subject to
mains water pressure.
Turn on the stopcock slowly and
check for leaks. Correct the position
of the washer and the threaded
union if necessary.
