Cleaning the water inlet filter
The washing machine has a filter to pro-
tect the inlet valve.
The filter in the union in the open end of
the inlet hose should be replaced every
6 months or so, or more often if there
are frequent interruptions to the water
supply.
First turn off the stopcock.
Unscrew the inlet hose from the stop-
cock.
Remove the rubber seal

from the
union.
Hold the free end of the inlet hose
downwards. Plastic filter

will drop
out.
Clean the plastic filter.
Put the filter and seal back in the re-
verse order and reconnect the hose.
Turn on the stopcock and check the
connection is watertight. If water
drips out, tighten the connection.
The filter
must
be put back in place
after cleaning.
