Safety with children

The appliance is not a toy! To prevent the risk of
injury, do not let children play with the appliance or its
controls.

Children under 8 years of age must be kept away
from the hob unless they are constantly supervised.

Children 8 years and older may use the appliance
only if they have been shown how to use it in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.

The ceramic surface of the browning unit and the
standing surface become hot in use, and remain so for
quite a while after the appliance has been switched off.
Keep children well away from the appliance until it has
cooled down and there is no danger of burning.

The heating element glows very brightly. Do not
allow children to look directly at the heating element.
~
Do not store anything which might arouse a child's
interest in storage areas above or next to the
appliance. Otherwise they could be tempted into
climbing onto the appliance with the risk of burning
themselves.

Make sure children cannot pull hot dishes down onto
themselves from the appliance. Danger of burning and
scalding.
