Laboratory equipment (LG)
Wide-necked labware, e. g., beakers,
wide-necked Erlenmeyer flasks and
Petri dishes, or cylindrical items, e. g.,
test tubes, can be cleaned inside and
out by the rotating spray arms. For
proper cleaning, load these items in
whole, half or quarter inserts and place
them in an empty lower basket or upper
basket with spray arm.
For narrow-necked equipment, e. g.,
narrow-necked Erlenmeyer flasks,
round-bottomed flasks, measuring
cylinders and pipettes, you will need to
use injector baskets.
This section only covers basic
information on how to prepare and load
labware.
