Problem solving guide
With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be corrected without a
service call.
Please note the following:
Repairs should only be performed by a Miele authorized and trained person in
accordance with local and national safety regulations. Unauthorized or incor-
rect repairs could cause personal injury or machine damage.

Remedy
The “Start” indicator
does not light after the
machine has been
turned on using the
“On/Off” button.
The door is not properly
closed.
Close the door firmly.
The machine is not
plugged in.
Insert the plug.
The circuit breaker has
“tripped”.
Reset the circuit breaker
The dishwasher does
not start, after the
“Start” button has been
pressed; the “Start” in-
dicator light comes on
The program selector is
at the “Stop” position.

Turn the program se-
lector to the desired
program,

Press the “Start” button
The dishwasher stops
during a program
The circuit breaker has
“tripped.”
Reset the circuit breaker
The “Intake/Drain” indi-
cator lights during the
“Energy Saver” pro-
gram
The incoming water has
not reached the minimum
temperature of 113 °F (45
°C), the hot water system
may be overloaded, see
“Program Chart”.

Start the program
again.

If the indicator lights
again select a different
program.
