4.9.1. Printhead
Please be sure that no media is inside the printer before action.
Otherwise, it may cause some damage.
SubMenu MAINTENANCE\PRINTHEAD:
Deprime Ink
If there is any need to remove the printhead from the printer, please deprime
the ink from printhead before the removal. If it is still much ink remaining in
the tubes, please wait for at least
2.5 minutes without any operation
and then press this button again.
Prime Ink
Push this button to introduce the ink from the cartridges to the printhead. If
the tubes are not fully filled with ink, please

and then press this button again.
Open Cover
Push this button to open the printhead cover. If you would like to take the
printhead out from the printer, please be sure the ink has been ejected back
to the cartridges. And please note that the ink might leak from the nozzles. If
you would like to replace the printhead, please refer to section 5.7
Printhead Exchange.
