7. Using the device for the fi rst time
Remove all packaging, stickers and wrapping from the device.
Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, dry and level surface.
Clean the food basket and the frying chamber with hot water. Wipe the device with a damp cloth inside
and out.
Place the frying chamber into the device so that the handles sit to the side.
Insert the food basket so that it rests on the metal brackets in the frying chamber and the plastic retainer
on the food basket handle fits into the notch on the front of the device rim.
PLEASE NOTE!
The food basket handle can be positioned vertically and horizontally. To do this, push the release
in the direction of the arrow to move the handle into the horizontal or vertical position as re-
quired.
ATTENTION!
Always use the food basket with the frying chamber.
Connect the hot air fryer to an AC 220–240 V~, 50/60 Hz safety socket.
8. Operation
CAUTION!
The device operates exclusively with hot air! Never fill the device with oil or other liquids. There
is a risk of fire.
Press both of the release buttons simultaneously to open the device lid.
Place the frying chamber into the device so that the handles of the frying chamber sit to the side.
Fill the food basket with the food. See the table below for the recommended fill levels “8.1. Setting the de-
vice” on page 22.
ATTENTION!
Extremely fatty foods, e.g. sausages, are not suitable for cooking in the device. The fat will drip into
the frying chamber and burn.
PLEASE NOTE!
The hot air fryer is ideal for preparing oven-ready snacks. You will generally need a shorter cooking
time than with fresh, home-made food.
The ideal fill level for making crispy chips is 500 g.
PLEASE NOTE!
The hot air fryer is also ideal for heating up food. Heat the food for 10 minutes at 150°C.
Close the lid until it clicks audibly into place.
Turn the temperature dial to set the desired cooking temperature.
Temperatures of between 80°C and 190°C can be set.
Turn the cooking time dial to set the desired cooking time.
You can set a maximum of 30 minutes in 1-minute intervals (from 1 to 10 minutes) and in 5-minute intervals
(from 10 to 30 minutes).
Setting the cooking time using the cooking time dial starts the cooking process. The orange and green oper-
ating lights illuminate. The orange temperature operating light extinguishes when the set cooking tempera-
ture has been reached.
