• Never fill the frying chamber with fat or oil. There is a risk of fire!
• Pull the mains plug out of the socket immediately if the device starts to give off dark smoke. Wait
until the device has stopped smoking before removing the frying chamber from the device.
4.5. Faults
WARNING!
Live components There is a risk of electric shock.
Therefore, follow the instructions below:
• Avoid damaging the appliance or the power cable.
• Always check the cable and the appliance before each use.
• If you detect any damage do not use the appliance under any circumstances. Immediately re-
move the mains plug from the socket.
• If the device is defective, have it repaired by a qualified workshop immediately. To prevent risks,
damaged mains cables should be replaced by the Medion Service Centre or a similarly qualified
person.
• Never try to open and/or repair a device component yourself.
• In the event of a fault, contact our Service Centre or another suitable professional repair work-
shop.
5. Cleaning and care
WARNING!

Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. – If the device does fall into liq-
uid, under no circumstances should you attempt to touch it. Disconnect the mains plug
first!
• Always pull out the plug before cleaning the device.
• Allow the device to cool down for at least half an hour before cleaning to avoid burns.
