- Adjusting the depth of cut

- USING THE LASER LINE GUIDE

- Setting the mitre angle

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem

Possible cause

• Battery not installed properly

• Battery not charged

• Check battery installation

• Check battery charging

  requirements
• Insert battery into charger

  until red LED appears
• Plug Charger into working outlet.

  Refer to “Important Charging

  Notes” for derails
• Move charger and tool to

  a surrounding air temperature

  of above +39.2°F(4°C) or below

  104°F(40°C)

• Battery not installed into

  charger
• Charger not plugged in

• Surrounding air temperature

  too hot or cold

Possible solution

• Unit will not start

• Battery will not

  charge

GENERAL CUTTING

•  Clamp the workpiece. Make sure that the side which will be visible later is facing down,

because the cut is most accurate at that side.

•  Switch on the machine before it touches the workpiece. Do not exert pressure on the

saw blade. Allow the machine enough time to cut the workpiece.

•  Hold the machine with both hands using both grips. This ensures optimum control over

the machine.

•  For straight cuts along a drawn line use the marking for straight cuts.

•  For bevel cuts along a drawn line use the marking for bevel cuts.

RECYCLING/WARNINGS

CYCLE.

The RBRC™ Seal (Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation) on the lithium-ion
battery (or battery pack) indicates that the cost of recycling the battery or
battery pack have already been paid by MOTORHEAD. In some ares it is illegal to
piace spent lithium-ion batteries in the trash or municipal solid waste stream and
the RBRC program provides an environmentally conscious alternative.

MAINTENANCE

Keep the tool clean using a soft damp (not wet) cloth. Do not use solvents on the plastic
parts.
Lubrication is not necessary. After long use, have an authorized service center maintain
and lubricate the tool.
Remove the battery pack
To maintain the best performance of your rechargeable Li-ion battery, protect it from
overheating, both from overcharging and during storage.
The battery may also benefit from a full discharge from time to time.
IMPORTANT: to assure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, all maintenance, repairs or
adjustments (other than those mentioned in this manual) should be performed by autho-
rized repair centers using identical replacement parts.

(MH-03-CS-B1-0-1)

20V ULTRA 6-1/2in Circular Saw 2Ah KIT

(MH-03-CS-B1-0-1)

Your tool is equipped with a laser line guide that will turn on

whenever the tool is plugged in and the laser button is

pushed in (B) The laser line is pre-set at the factory to the

kerf of the blade supplied with your saw.

If using the laser line guide for cutting you do not need the

line guide incorporated in the foot as it may be in a different

setting than the laser line guide.

The laser light guide is a class II laser with a maximum output

power is less than 1.0 mWatts and conforms to 21 CFR

DANGER LASER RADIATION. AVOID DIRECT EYE EXPOSURE. DO NOT stare into the laser

light source. Never aim light at another person or object other than the workpiece. Laser

light can damage your eyes.

WARNING DO NOT use tinted glasses to enhance the laser light. Tinted glasses will reduce

overall vision for the application and interfere with the normal operation of the tool.

WARNING Never aim the beam at a workpiece with  reflective surface. Bright shiny

reflective sheet steel or similar reflective surfaces are not recommended for laser use.

Reflective surfaces could direct the beam back toward the operator.

CAUTION Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those

specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

CAUTION The use of optical instruments with this product will increase eye hazards.

The depth of cut is infinitely adjustable.

• Loosen the lock lever for depth adjustment (L).

• Hold the base plate flat against the edge of the work piece and

lift the body of the saw until the blade is at the right depth

determined by the depth gauge (M) (align the scale line).

• Tighten the lock lever for depth adjustment.

The mitre angle is infinitely variable between 0° and 45°.

• Loosen the lock lever (N) for angle adjustment (O).

• Adjust the shoe to the desired angle between 0° to 45°.

• Tighten the lock lever for angle adjustment.
