test can be carried out, for example, by applying a foam forming solution or by pulling the hose entire
length gradually in a vessel with water, while simultaneously monitoring any potential gas leak in form of
bubbles. During the test the hose must be under a reduced pressure from the pressure LPG cylinder (the
LPG cylinder valve shall be opened and the heater control valve shall be closed).
- To ensure a trouble-free and safe operation, it is recommended to make regular service inspections (see
“Servicing”). At the same time an occasional surveillance should be carried out during the appliance
operation.
Servicing
- The frequency of inspections shall be governed by valid legislation in the respective country where the
appliance is operated.
- In the Czech Republic, this appliance is not regarded as designated gas equipment pursuant to Decree
No. 21/1979 Coll. and is not subjected to regular inspections and testing by an inspection engineer.
- Carry out a thorough examination of the appliance at least once a year (visual examination, cleaning and
maintenance, leakage test, functionality testing of the appliance) and replace all sealing elements every two
years, as a minimum. The above operations shall be made by a technically skilled person. Any unauthorized
intervention by an unqualified person may be dangerous.
Faults and troubleshooting
-
If troubleshooting requires dismantling and mounting of individual parts of the heater, the heater
must be turned off, let cool down completely, and disconnected from the LPG cylinder!
- If you do not feel to be technically skilled and some operations given in these instructions (service,
troubleshooting, etc.) would be troublesome for you, contact the authorized service center -
manufacturer/importer (MEVA-TEC s.r.o., tel.: +420 416 823 181, 299, www.mevatec.cz).
