14. Tracer – Tracing of cables and wires
The in built tone generator can be used together with different Tracers for identifying
cable pairs, conductors within a bundle, tracing cables under walls etc.
Test procedure
1. Select Locator function with the rotary
switch and press
to enter Tracing
screen. Check if the correct cable type is
selected.
2. When using the RJ45 output the cable
pair in which the tone signal is generated
can be select by using
/
keys.
