If the power cord of the equipment appears to be dam-
aged, it should be replaced with another one having
the specifications compliant with the regulations in
force in the country of installation and the replacement
should be made by qualified personnel so as to pre
-
vent any risk to the persons.
The earth conductor must be correctly connected to an
efficient earthing system.
The manufacturing company declines any liability and
any responsibility in terms of warranty if damage to the
equipment, persons and things are found, caused by
incorrect installation and/or by installation which is not
compliant with the laws in force.
4 COMMISSIONING
See the illustrative figures:
i
Note:
For a perfect water outflow from the device,
provide a minimum 3% slope of the pipe checking that
it is not subject to bottlenecks or siphoning. It is recom-
mended that the pipe discharges into an open siphon
(fig.7).
I
Before electrically connecting the machine, make
sure that the network voltage corresponds to the one
indicated on the identification plate placed on the back
of the appliance (fig. 10).
I
The maximum permitted tolerance on the voltage
variation is of ± 10% of the rated value.
Provide an electrical supply circuit to the machine with
its own main omnipolar switch in order to guarantee an
opening distance of the contacts which allows the full
disconnection under the conditions of the overvoltage
category III.
I
Dimension the circuit according to the amperage
indicated on the identification plate (fig.10). The elec
-
trical socket must be easily accessible
Once the correct connection to the hydraulic network
and to the electrical one is checked, open the water
feeding valve and insert the plug into the socket.
If the machine is in standby, the illuminated button will
flash every 30". To exit standby and to finally start the
machine, press the luminous switch for at least 3 sec-
onds, until the start of the machine is signalled with a
long beep (fig.9).
It is recommended not to use the first 5 cycles of ice.
The ice maker is equipped with a temperature probe
present in the ice bin (fig.14), which allows the ma
-
chine and ice production to stop when the bulb comes
into contact with the ice accumulated in the bin.
Never stop the water with the machine into operation,
do not obstruct the air suction inlets.
Note:
After the collection, release the control bulb from
any ice remainders for a faster resuming of the pro-
duction (fig.14).
4.1 Ice moisture adjustment
The percentage of water in the ice can be adjusted, up
to a certain limit, using the following procedure.
a) Press,
with the machine running
, the button
(Fig.9)
3 times within 2 seconds;
the button will take
on a colour between white and red.
b) To increase the moisture content of the ice, press
the button and increase the colour towards red; to de-
crease the moisture, press it until the colour approach-
es white. After 5 seconds of no pressing, it saves and
exits the modification phase. (fig.9)
4.2 Bin probe adjustment
Over time, due to the variation in the ambient temper-
ature, the set of the bin probe, which stops production,
may not be sufficient. To adjust this value follow the
procedure below:
a) Press,
in standby
, the button (Fig.9)
3 times within 2 sec-
onds
; the button will take on a colour between white and red.
b) To increase the set T°, press the button (Fig.9),
making the colour increase towards red; to decrease
it, press it until the colour approaches white. After 5
seconds of no pressing, it saves and exits the modifi
-
cation phase.
5 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance
operations, disconnect the machine from the pow-
er supply by operating the main switch and un-
plugging it.
If the socket is at a distance or in a position
that cannot be controlled by the operator or the
appliance is not equipped with a plug, a device for
electrical padlocking must be installed to avoid
accidental connection of the appliance.
5.1 Operations to be performed by the user
5.1.1 External body cleaning
- in order to clean the body, it is enough to use a cloth
soaked into a specific chlorine-free product, for stain
-
less steel.
