8.3. Troubleshooting generator
FAULT CAUSE SOLUTION
Alternator does not excite Insufficient residual voltage
Connection break

Poor contact with the brushes
Excite the rotor using a battery
Reset the connection
Replace the diode bridge
Adjust speed regulator
