The built-in remote control is
capable of operating up to three
separately controlled objects.
Warning!
When programming a garage
door opener, the door moves
up or down.
When programming or oper­
ating the remote control make
sure there is no possibility of
anyone being harmed by the
moving door.________________
Notes:
Certain types of garage door
openers are incompatible with the
integrated opener. If you should
experience difficulties with pro­
gramming the transmitter, contact
your authorized Mercedes-Benz
dealer or call Mercedes-Benz
Customer Assistance Center (in
the U.S.A. only) at 1-800-FOR-
MERCedes.

Programming the remote control:
1. Turn key in steering lock to
position 1 or 2.
2. Prepare for programming by
erasing all three factory default
codes. Press and hold the left
and right side buttons on the
remote control transmitter (1)
until the LED begins to flash (in
20 to 30 seconds). Release both
buttons.
3. Hold end opposite to battery of
portable remote control against
the inside rear view mirror trans­
mitter to be programmed. While
holding down one of the but­
tons on the transm itter on the
inside rear view mirror, press
down the button on your
portable remote control, until the
inside rear view mirror remote
