Emergency Operation of Sliding
Roof
The sliding roof can be opened or
closed manually should an electrical
malfunction occur.
Using a screwdriver, flip down cover in
the left side panel of trunk. Insert the
socket wrench (from tool kit) through
the access hole in the panel and place
it on the hex-drive of the electric mo­
tor. Turn the socket wrench (m anu­
ally).
To slide the roof closed or to raise the
roof at the rear: turn clockwise.
To slide the roof open or to lower the
roof at the rear: turn counterclockwise.
Manual Release of Fuel Filter Flap
Sedan:
Bend the top of the right trunk panel
down slightly. Pull the manual release
knob while simultaneously opening the
fuel filler flap.
Coupe:
Pull the manual release knob behind
the right trunk panel while simultane­
ously opening the fuel filler flap.
