The use of the internal battery is essential for
compliance with EN 81-28.
BATTERY PERFORMANCE
Battery charge check
1. Enter command *26#1 to activate battery
monitoring
2. Wait 30 seconds
3. Enter the command *50* and listen to "Option 50 is
[V1, V2]" units of volt and decimal units of volt. For
example, 37 is 3,7V.
4. The MEP2L repeats the measurement every 2 hours
Restoring the battery status
1. Enter command *91#
2. Hang up the call and wait 2 minutes
3. Enter the command *50* and listen to "Option 50 is
[V1, V2]" units of volt and decimal units of volt. For
example, 37 is 3,7 V.
Battery Alerts: MEP2L Status LED
Slowly flashing red (flashes
every 2 seconds): the
battery is below the
minimum safety voltage
level according to EN 81-28
Red LED not illuminated: The
battery charge is sufficient.
Automatic battery low warning
If the command *26* is activated and it is detected that
the battery is not sufficiently charged, an automatic
alert call is generated to the data dump number
programmed in the MEP2L.
