PREPARING THE APPLIANCE

For safety reasons, the battery is only partially charged
when the appliance leaves the factory. Therefore, you
must always start by charging the battery fully. Charge
the appliance for 12-14 hours before first use.

Battery charging

1.  Make sure the appliance is switched off.
2.  Place the appliance in the holder (21).
3.  Insert the charger (16) into the mains socket and

connect the cord to the charger socket (20) on the
holder.

4.  Switch on the power. The blue recharging indicator

(8) on the appliance lights up.

5.  Leave the battery to fully charge – approx.  12-14

hours, if the battery is completely discharged.

o   The recharging indicator remains lit while the
appliance is connected to the charger.

Tips!

We recommend always leaving the appliance in the
charger when not in use so that the appliance is always
ready to use.

NOTE:

•  The battery becomes hot during charging – this is

perfectly normal.

•  Make sure the appliance is switched off on both

on/off buttons (2 and 7) before charging.

USING THE APPARATUS

This apparatus can be used both as a floor vacuum
and as a hand-held vacuum. Use the floor vacuum to
vacuum floors. Use the hand-held vacuum cleaner to
vacuum difficult-to-reach spots.

Before using the appliance, check that the filter (10) is
correctly fitted in the dust container (12) (see “Emptying
of dust container and cleaning of filter”).

Using the vacuum cleaner

1.  Make sure the hand-held vacuum cleaner (5) has

been correctly fitted to the appliance.

2.  Attach the floor nozzle (6) by inserting the connector

(17) into the terminal at the point of the appliance
and pressing the appliance onto the nozzle.

o   Turn on the appliance by pushing the on/off
button (2) on the foldable handle (1) forward.
3.  Push the on/off button backward to the “OFF”

position to swith off the appliance.

Using the hand-held vacuum cleaner

1.  Detach the hand-held vacuum cleaner from the

appliance by pressing the release button (4) whilst
simultaneously pulling the hand-held vacuum
cleaner upwards.

2.  Push the on/off button (7) forward to switch on the

appliance and backward to switch it off.

3.  The crevice nozzle (13) is fitted to the hand-held

vacuum cleaner and can be extended from the
nozzle tip (12) when cleaning difficult to reach spots
(see illustration).

4.  Attach the hand-held vacuum

into the hollow on the appliance
until you hear a click, once you
have finished using it.

NOTE:

•  If the appliance loses suction power during use, the

battery may need to be recharged.

•  Lack of suction power may also be caused by

the filter being blocked and needing cleaning (see
“Cleaning of dust container and emptying of filter”).

•  If the appliance still does not have full suction power

after cleaning or replacing the filter, the nozzle tip or
the nozzle may be blocked.

•  NOTE: Check cause of fault and correct. Do not

use the appliance if any air holes are blocked.
Permanent motor damage can result.

•  We recommend that you empty the dust container

after each vacuuming (see “Emptying of dust
container and cleaning of
filter” below).

Tips!

To save room during storage,
the handle of the appliance
may be folded. Press down
the release button for the foldable handle (3) and tilt the
handle toward the appliance (see illustration).

DUST CONTAINER AND FILTER

This appliance is not equipped with a dust bag. The
dust/dirt is sucked up into the transparent dust holder
instead. The air sucked in is cleaned by means of a
two-component washable permanent filter in the dust
container.

Emptying of dust container and cleaning of filter

IMPORTANT! If the appliance loses suction power
during use, the filter pad may be dirty, and needs
cleaning or replacing. Never use the appliance, when
the filter is dirty or when it has not been fitted.
1.  Detach the hand-held vacuum cleaner from the

appliance by pressing the release button whilst
simultaneously pulling the hand-held vacuum
cleaner upwards.

2.  Grab the dust container with one hand and twist it

to release the dust container from the motor section
(15) (see illustration).

3.  Pull the two parts of the filter out of the dust

container and empty the container. If necessary,
rinse the dust container with clean water and wipe
the container with a dry cloth.

4.  The filter consists of two sections, both of which

must be cleaned. Brush the parts with a small
brush and/or wash them in tepid water. Add a
little detergent if necessary. Check the filter pad
is COMPLETELY dry before
replacing in the appliance.
NEVER insert a wet filter into
the appliance.
